Semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) are utilized in diverse, innovative applications and can be used as amplifiers, light sources, or switches. Used as an amplifier, all Aeon SOAs support burst-mode operation. Devices are available in all telecom wavelength bands from 1250 to 1650 nm, as well as in the short wavelength 1060-nm band. Available gains range from 5 to 30 dB, and we can optimize parameters to meet your application needs.

Packaging options include the industry-standard 14-pin butterfly package, as well as a 7-pin variant with tight bending radius pigtails to cope with small spaces.
